Summer 2026 newsletter
Verantos enters the second half of 2026 with a growing body of work focused on one objective: making high-validity real-world evidence available at scale. Our new evidence brief series translates findings from peer-reviewed research into criteria that evidence teams can use to evaluate data reliability and AI-enabled curation. In parallel, our research program continues to expand the clinical depth, scale, and methodological capabilities available for real-world evidence generation.
This work is being presented across the field. Amgen shared research, co-authored with AstraZeneca, SimulStat, and Verantos, at the American Thoracic Society 2026 meeting, and Verantos contributed to the ISPOR 2026 discussion on evaluating the reliability of AI-generated data. This fall, we will present additional research at the ISPE Annual Meeting and CHEST 2026, including the largest high-reliability asthma real-world dataset assembled to date and a new method for deriving clinically important outcomes from unstructured electronic health records. Together, these programs demonstrate how high-reliability data and AI can strengthen the evidence used to answer increasingly complex research questions.

In addition, Verantos leadership will be on-site to discuss our recent advances in high-validity real-world evidence.
New initiative translates peer-reviewed findings on data reliability into principles and criteria for real-world evidence teams
Each brief takes a single finding from a peer-reviewed Verantos manuscript and restates it as principles and criteria that real-world evidence teams can apply in their research.
Endpoint validation
Confidence in a small number of well-validated endpoints cannot offset systematic under-capture and misclassification of routine clinical variables.
Read the briefCompleteness
Adding patients improves precision, but not necessarily validity; missing required sources per patient can still cause bias and misclassification.

Verantos to share two abstracts at CHEST 2026
At CHEST in Phoenix this October, Verantos will present two abstracts.
- “Expansion of the INSIGHTS Asthma Pragmatic Registry to a Nationally Representative Population: Delivering Rich, Reliable Real-World Data at Scale”
- “Healthcare system level data identifies critical gaps in severe asthma care”
Verantos leadership presented at ISPOR 2026
At ISPOR 2026, Verantos stressed the importance of evaluating the reliability of output from the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in a panel titled, “Operationalizing artificial intelligence guidance to create best in class abstraction and curation approaches.”
